„In seinem ersten Brief an Johanna Rahn, nach der Abreise aus Zürich, aus Schaffhausen [...] erwähnt Fichte, daß er Briefe von ihr in Schaffhausen erhalten habe, als er am 6. April dort eintraf. Johanna zeigte sich um Fichtes Gesundheit besorgt und hatte ihm ein Hausmittel gegen Magenbeschwerden geschickt.“
