„Fichte bedankt sich Ende Febr. oder Anfang März 1794 bei Cotta [...] für einen Brief desselben und die Übersendung von dessen neuestem Verlagsartikel, Storrs ‚Bemerkungen über Kant’s philosophische Religionslehre‘. Cotta fragte bei dieser Gelegenheit an, ob er nicht eine Schrift Fichtes verlegen könne.“
