„Am 11. Apr. 1800 notierte Ignaz Aurelius Feßler in sein Tagebuch: ‚Ihm [sc. Fichte] rieth ich, an Br. Buddée um seine Affiliation zu schreiben, welches er auch gethan hat.‘ [...] [Mossdorf, Bd. 1, 1804, S. 328.] Es handelte sich um die Annahme bei der Loge Pythagoras zum flammenden Stern, deren Erster Vorsteher Buddée war.“
